Job Summary
We seek an Assistant HVAC/Plumbing Project Manager in Denver, Colorado, to support the execution and management of high-profile commercial construction projects. This role involves managing project operations and coordinating with engineering teams, general contractors, subcontractors, and field managers. The Assistant Project Manager will oversee project planning, change management, and communication with senior management, ensuring project success from initiation through close-out.
Key Responsibilities
- Led the initial setup, including creating shop drawings, value engineering assessments, prefabrication planning, mobilization logistics, and material handling.
- Identify and manage project adjustments as needed, ensuring seamless integration of changes and communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
- Participate in job setup, formulation, and regular budget input. Provide labor projections and maintain up-to-date job schedules and manpower requirements in collaboration with field managers.
- Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, codes, and other project materials. Manage permits, inspections, and compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
- Ensure comprehensive QA/QC processes are followed throughout the project. Coordinate project close-out with as-built documentation, operation manuals, and final equipment verification.
- Preferred degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering or equivalent background in design-build. Minimum of 5+ years in construction management, with demonstrated experience on projects exceeding $10M.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Viewpoint or similar project management software is a plus.
- Proven track record in HVAC and plumbing construction project management, including proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Excellent ability to interact across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.
- Local and stable work history in Denver, demonstrating a commitment to the regional market and industry networks.
