Job Title: Plumbing Design Engineer

Job Overview
We seek a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) who is passionate about designing and managing complex plumbing and piping systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals while delivering innovative, high-performance plumbing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead plumbing design projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with California Plumbing Code (CPC), NFPA, ASPE, and ADA standards.
  • Oversee and mentor junior engineers, designers, and CAD/Revit technicians, ensuring quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Select materials and equipment to meet project specifications, sustainability goals, and performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Support the construction phase, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits to verify design compliance.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent coursework in Plumbing Design.
  • 5+ years of experience in plumbing system design for commercial, residential, multi-family, and restaurant projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Word, and MS Excel; experience with Bluebeam and Navisworks is a plus.
  • LEED Certification and knowledge of sustainable plumbing solutions are highly desirable.
  • Strong client relationship skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
