Job Overview
We seek a Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) with expertise in designing and managing plumbing and piping systems for commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead plumbing design projects from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with California Plumbing Code (CPC), NFPA, ASPE, and ADA standards.
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers, designers, and CAD/Revit technicians, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to industry best practices.
- Select materials and equipment to meet project specifications, sustainability goals, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems.
- Support the construction phase, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits to verify design compliance.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent coursework in Plumbing Design.
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing system design for commercial, residential, multi-family, and restaurant projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Word, and MS Excel; experience with Bluebeam and Navisworks is a plus.
- LEED Certification and knowledge of sustainable plumbing solutions are highly desirable.
- Strong client relationship skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
