Overview

We're seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical/HVAC Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale commercial projects throughout Philadelphia. This hands-on, tools-on leadership role is suited for someone with a strong background in airside HVAC systems, VRF/VRV installations, and managing field crews in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead field crews on commercial HVAC installations.
  • Install and coordinate airside mechanical systems, including duct work, RTUs, VAVs, and VRF/VRV systems.
  • Verify field conditions, take site measurements, and coordinate duct fabrication with our CAD and in-house fabrication team.
  • Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless field coordination.
  • Enforce and promote safety standards, maintain quality control, and optimize field productivity.
  • Utilize tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, and critical path scheduling for project execution and documentation.
Requirements
  • 8 to 10 years of commercial HVAC installation experience, preferably with a stable, local work history
  • Proven experience managing HVAC crews on mid-to-large commercial construction projects
  • Expert knowledge of airside systems, VRF technology, and copper piping installations
  • Strong skills in reading mechanical plans and coordinating installation with design/CAD teams
  • Familiarity with construction software platforms, including Procore and Bluebeam
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills—must lead by example in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Factory-certified in VRF/VRV system startups (Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, etc.)
  • Experience in both HVAC and mechanical systems (e.g., piping, plumbing)
  • Prior roles as a Mechanical Superintendent, Lead Installer, or Foreman
Work Environment
This role is field-based, with job sites throughout the Philadelphia metro area. You'll work closely with our in-house shop, CAD department, and project managers to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality installations.

What We Offer
  • Stable, year-round commercial projects with a respected and experienced team
  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Full health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Opportunities for career growth into Superintendent or Department Leadership roles
  • A workplace culture built on accountability, craftsmanship, and pride in doing things right the first time
