Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee plumbing design projects, ensuring compliance with California Plumbing Code (CPC), NFPA, ASPE, and ADA requirements.
  • Direct and oversee junior engineers, designers, and CAD/Revit technicians by company policies and industry best practices.
  • Conduct material and equipment testing to ensure adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Develop long-term client relationships by delivering high-quality design solutions that meet budget and schedule expectations.
  • Provide support during construction phases, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site visits.
  • Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring coordination between plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent coursework in Plumbing Design.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plumbing system design for commercial, residential, multi-family, and restaurant projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Word, and MS Excel; Bluebeam and Navisworks experience is a plus.
  • LEED Certification and knowledge of sustainable plumbing solutions are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain client relationships and effectively lead project teams.
  • Local and stable work history with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
