Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and execution of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, residential, and multi-family projects. Ensure designs meet client needs, budgets, and schedules.
- Supervise and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and production staff to ensure high-quality deliverables and efficient project execution.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for mechanically focused projects.
- Manage work plans, budgets, and schedules for multiple projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company standards.
- Provide technical expertise during construction phases, including resolving issues, reviewing submittals, and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Coursework or certifications in HVAC or plumbing systems are highly desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems.
- Strong background in consulting engineering or architectural engineering firms.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Word, and MS Excel. Familiarity with tools like Navisworks, Trimble AutoBid, and Bluebeam is a plus.
- LEED Certification is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated expertise in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and fostering strong client relationships through excellent interpersonal skills.
- A stable track record of employment with a focus on Southern California projects is required.
