Key Responsibilities
- Develop efficient and sustainable HVAC system designs for commercial projects, adhering to client specifications, budgets, and schedules.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery while complying with industry and regulatory standards.
- Mentor and support engineering teams, driving technical excellence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs.
- Act as clients' primary point of contact, delivering exceptional service and building strong, long-term relationships.
- Provide technical guidance during construction phases, including reviewing submittals, resolving design conflicts, and coordinating with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with an active Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
- At least 5 years of HVAC design and project management experience, particularly in Southern California's commercial sectors.
- Strong expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is desirable. Familiarity with tools like Navisworks, Bluebeam, and Trimble AutoBid is also highly desirable.
- In-depth understanding of local building codes, ASHRAE standards, and California's Title 24 energy compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated local and stable work history, showcasing commitment and reliability within the Southern California mechanical construction industry.
