Job Title: Controls Assistant Project Manager
Location: Reno, NV

Job Summary
We're hiring a Controls Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Reno, NV. In this role, you'll support the planning and execution of building automation and control systems for large-scale commercial mechanical projects. We'd love to work with you if you're detail-oriented, technically sharp, and passionate about control systems.

Responsibilities
  • Support project managers in delivering control projects on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure accurate system design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Review control drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Visio, ensuring designs align with specifications.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to DDC and BAS during installation and startup.
  • Track project documentation and change orders while maintaining open communication with the field team
  • Help enforce safety procedures and quality standards on job sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in building automation, controls, or related project management roles
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and Visio for creating and reviewing BAS/control designs
  • Hands-on knowledge of BACnet and DDC systems
  • Familiarity with major platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Alerton, or Metasys
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
Nice-to-Haves
  • EIT or PE certification
  • Experience with commissioning tools and protocols
  • Previous field experience with commercial mechanical installations
Location & Work Environment
Based in Reno, NV, this role involves a mix of office and job site work at commercial construction locations throughout the region. Occasional travel to nearby project sites may be required.
