Position Overview/Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician for our Riverside, CA location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing large rooftop units (RTUs), chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other substantial mechanical equipment. This position requires a local presence, a stable work history, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, including RTUs (20-200+ tons), chillers, boilers, VRFs, and other large mechanical equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal HVAC system performance.
Provide technical explanations and collaborate with customers on system issues and recommended solutions.
Utilize manufacturer training and certifications, with preference given to those from Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, among others.
Maintain accurate records of service visits, including work performed, parts used, and recommendations.
Coordinate with the service dispatch team to prioritize and schedule service calls efficiently.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during service visits.
Provide training and guidance to junior technicians when required.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician.
EPA Universal certification is mandatory.
Clean driving record and the ability to travel locally to client sites.
Manufacturer training and certifications from Johnson Controls, Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, or similar HVAC equipment manufacturers are preferred.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
