Job Title: Building Automation Systems Specialist

Overview: This role focuses on the programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting of building automation and temperature control systems, requiring a candidate with strong technical skills and an ability to ensure optimal operation of these systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Program, commission, and diagnose issues within building automation systems.
  • Develop and adjust system graphics as necessary for effective automation control.
  • Conduct system start-up and commissioning, ensuring thorough documentation of processes.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and test & balance teams to ensure system integrity.
  • Install control systems and work with subcontractors to ensure adherence to installation standards.
  • Utilize various communication protocols to integrate and manage building systems effectively.
  • Prepare detailed project reports and manage project timelines and budgets efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Technical or vocational training in a relevant field, or equivalent industry-specific experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in building automation systems.
  • Proficiency in software applications such as Windows, Word, Excel, Visio, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and electrical systems, including code compliance.
  • Prior experience with Distech and Tridium systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Local and stable work history.
