Job Title: BAS Service Technician
Location: Manassas, VA

Summary
We seek a highly skilled Building Automation Systems (BAS) Service Technician for a full-time position in Manassas, VA. This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing building automation and HVAC control systems in commercial environments. The ideal candidate brings a local and stable work history and at least three years of hands-on experience in BAS operations and controls. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology while ensuring the functionality and efficiency of commercial mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building automation systems (BAS), including HVAC controls, chillers, boilers, and VFDs.
  • Commission and upgrade BAS systems by configuring and integrating platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, and BACnet-based systems.
  • Ensure seamless communication between HVAC equipment and BAS platforms using industry-standard protocols like DDC and BACnet.
  • Provide customers with detailed system diagnostics, performance optimization, and technical guidance while delivering excellent service and support.
  • Document service activities, generate performance reports, and update system diagrams using tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years working with BAS platforms and HVAC controls in commercial mechanical systems.
  • Expertise in BACnet, DDC systems, and platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Alerton, ALC, and Distech.
  • Strong familiarity with commercial HVAC and BAS systems
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and a solid understanding of commercial HVAC and building automation systems (BAS).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam for system documentation and design modifications.
  • A local and stable work history is required to demonstrate reliability and understanding of regional building codes and standards.
