Summary
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our Los Angeles, CA team. This role requires a dedicated local candidate with a stable work history and a background in commercial solid mechanical HVAC piping and plumbing project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage commercial mechanical HVAC piping and plumbing projects from inception to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Gantt charts, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and timely project execution.
- Accurately estimate and manage change orders, ensuring all project modifications are documented, approved, and integrated into the project plan.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs and expectations are met and exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
- Apply knowledge and experience in managing projects across various sectors such as pharmaceuticals, laboratories, educational institutions, data centers, hospitals, hotels, and arenas.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of project management experience in commercial mechanical HVAC piping and plumbing.
- Proficiency in building Gantt charts and project schedules, estimating change orders, and using project management software.
- Familiarity with building automation systems such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, Bacnet, Trane, and Schneider Electric.
- Skilled in Bluebeam, MS Project, Trimble AutoBid, and Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Demonstrated stable work history with a solid local presence in Los Angeles, CA.
