After you apply
You sent the application — here's exactly what happens next, and what never happens to your information. For the full process from first call to offer, see how our hiring process works.
What happens, step by step
Right away
Confirmation and a real read
You get a confirmation with a copy of what you told us. Your application goes to the recruiters who work your trade — not a keyword filter. A person reads it and matches it against the searches we are running right now.
If we have a fit
A recruiter call — usually within days
When your background matches an open search, a recruiter who knows your trade calls to learn the details a resume can't carry: the work you want, the market you want it in, and your pay target. We talk salary range on this call before anything moves.
When you say go
We put you forward — with your approval
We present you only for roles you've agreed to, and the employer's name stays confidential until you're speaking with them directly. You see the role, the scope, the region and the process up front.
If there's no fit yet
Your application stays live
Searches open constantly, and your application is matched against new ones as they arrive. Job alerts let us tell you when something in your trade and market opens — you choose what to follow, and you can turn alerts off any time.
What stays confidential
- We never send your resume anywhere without your say-so.
- We never contact your current employer.
- We never charge you a fee at any stage.
- We never leave you guessing — you get a straight answer on where you stand.
Before you apply
A resume helps but isn't required — you can fill in the details on the call. If you want to sharpen up first, our prep material covers what commercial mechanical hiring teams actually ask.
Interview prepCommon questions
How long does it take to hear back after applying?
When your background matches an open search, a recruiter will follow up personally. If we don't have a fit right now, your application stays live and is matched against new searches as they open — you can follow job alerts so new openings in your trade and market reach you.
Can I check the status of my application?
Yes. Log in to the candidate portal with your application email to see where your application stands, any scheduled interviews, and the roles connected to it.
Is my information confidential?
Your search is confidential. We never send your resume anywhere without your approval and we never approach your current employer. The employer's name stays confidential until you're speaking with them.
What if I applied months ago — do I need to reapply?
Not necessarily. Applications stay in our system and are matched against new searches as they open. If your situation has changed — a new certification, a move, a different pay target — a fresh application or an update through the portal helps us match you more accurately.
