Senior Forensic Mechanical Engineering Manager, PE

Location: Seattle, WA

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Forensic Mechanical Engineering Manager with a Professional Engineering (PE) license to join our team in Seattle, WA. This role requires extensive experience in plumbing and HVAC design and engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a stable work history, strong analytical and investigative skills, and a passion for forensic engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Forensic Analysis: Conduct thorough and meticulous forensic investigations related to plumbing, HVAC, and related mechanical systems. Identify causes of failures and provide recommendations for remedies.

  2. Engineering Design and Analysis: Oversee and participate in the design, analysis, and evaluation of mechanical systems, especially plumbing and HVAC.

  3. Team Leadership & Management: Mentor and supervise junior forensic engineers and mechanical engineers. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and departments to ensure the seamless integration of mechanical systems.

  4. Client Engagement: Engage with clients to understand their forensic needs, communicate findings, and provide expert recommendations. Represent the company in client meetings, legal proceedings, and industry events.

  5. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Attend workshops, seminars, and conferences related to forensic mechanical engineering.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or higher.

  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.

  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with a strong focus on plumbing and HVAC design and engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years of forensic engineering experience.

  • Stable work history showcasing longevity and commitment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Experience in testifying as an expert witness in legal proceedings.

  • Membership in relevant professional associations.
