Title: Senior Plumbing Estimator

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately estimate labor and material costs for commercial plumbing projects ranging from $2M to $20M.
  • Prepare detailed, competitive, and accurate bid proposals for various projects, including hospitals (OSHPD/HCAI), data centers, laboratories, schools, and universities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure comprehensive estimates.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess potential risks and opportunities.
  • Maintain a database of historical data for use in future estimates and bids.
  • Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors for price and scope clarity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in plumbing estimating for large-scale commercial projects.
  • Proven track record of working on projects within the $2M to $20M range.
  • Strong understanding of commercial plumbing systems and current industry practices.
  • Proficiency in construction software such as Bluebeam, FastPIPE, and MS Project.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Preferred Skill Sets:

  • Local to Orange County with a stable work history.
  • Experience with OSHPD/HCAI regulations and requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge in BIM software like AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Team player with a passion for the commercial mechanical industry.
