Position Summary
The Mechanical Forensic Engineer, PE, will conduct in-depth investigations of mechanical system failures, malfunctions, and defects. The role involves site investigations, data analysis, report writing, and serving as an expert witness in legal proceedings when required.
Location
This role is based in our Honolulu, HI office. Candidates must be local to the area, as remote work is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct forensic investigations of mechanical failures, including HVAC systems, plumbing, machinery, and other components.
Prepare detailed reports summarizing investigative findings, analysis, and expert opinions.
Serve as an expert witness, providing transparent and credible testimony in legal cases.
Collaborate closely with other forensic specialists, legal teams, and clients.
Stay current with industry standards, codes, and new technologies.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or higher.
Professional Engineer (PE) license.
A minimum of 7 years of mechanical forensic engineering experience.
Stable work history demonstrating professional growth and reliability.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Must be a local candidate residing in or willing to relocate to Honolulu, HI.
