Overview:
Seeking a dynamic Mechanical Construction Project Coordinator to lead diverse projects within the commercial sector, focusing on HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. This role demands a proactive approach to managing projects from inception through to client approval, emphasizing innovation, client relationship management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, assessing project scopes and determining necessary resources for successful completion.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop projects that align with their financial and operational needs.
  • Conduct detailed project estimates, including analysis of proposal specifications, drawings, and subcontractor requirements.
  • Engage in active promotion and client base expansion through effective relationship management.
  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing all stages from development to client acceptance, including tracking project progress, managing subcontractor relationships, and ensuring timely communications.
  • Plan and supervise onsite activities such as scheduling, material management, and job cost tracking, ensuring projects comply with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Foster positive working relationships with field staff, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project success.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in commercial mechanical construction, specifically HVAC and plumbing.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing standards, and building codes.
  • Proven estimation skills with a successful track record in sales.
  • Experience in hands-on field roles (e.g., apprentice, journeyman, foreman) in HVAC and plumbing on commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., BlueBeam, Procore).
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, craft agreements, and safety protocols.

Preferred:
  • Experience managing a diverse range of projects, including equipment replacement, renovations, and emergency repairs.
  • Knowledge in additional areas such as process piping, refrigeration, and control systems is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with energy management and estimation software.
