Overview: We are looking for a skilled HVAC/Plumbing Design Engineer to lead and contribute to our engineering projects within the commercial mechanical construction industry. This role involves mentoring a team, preparing design documents, and managing multiple projects from conceptual design through to construction support. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler system design.
Responsibilities:
Manage the design process from conceptual stages through to final design, ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate closely with in-house detailing teams during the shop drawing process to ensure design accuracy and compliance.
Handle multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire sprinkler systems for commercial construction projects ensuring all designs conform to applicable standards and regulations.
Proficiency in Revit and experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
