Overview
As the HVAC Fab Shop Superintendent, you will lead and manage the production activities within our Las Vegas fabrication shop. You will oversee the construction of HVAC sheet metal products and custom components, ensuring efficiency, safety, and top-tier quality. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet tight project deadlines while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Your leadership will directly influence productivity and project success, aligning with industry-leading best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
- Implement daily QA plans and direct adherence to all production and QC hold points.
- Address quality issues through corrective actions and communicate issues to management for resolution.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet production schedules.
- Allocate resources across multiple projects for optimal manufacturing efficiency.
- Develop project-specific work plans and manage the factory layout for efficient throughput.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Coordinate with the Safety Manager on necessary training and hazardous work plans.
- Actively participate in the Safety Team, ensuring safe operations are upheld.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and under budget.
- Set and communicate production goals to the team.
- Evaluate worker performance, encourage growth, and provide appropriate training and feedback.
- Continuously improve systems and processes that track productivity and optimize efficiency.
- Stay current with industry trends and implement strategies aligned with strategic initiatives.
- High school diploma required.
- 5-10 years of experience in fabrication/manufacturing, with HVAC industry experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to oversee cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage time and meet strict deadlines.
- Local and stable work history required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Autodesk Fabrication or similar software is preferred.
