Job Overview
We seek a highly skilled HVAC Estimator in San Diego, CA, to join our growing team. This critical role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have a sharp eye for detail, strong analytical capabilities, and experience interpreting complex construction documents. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop detailed and accurate HVAC cost estimates.
  • Evaluate material, equipment, and subcontractor bids to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with project requirements.
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed estimates for both pre-construction budgeting and ongoing project planning.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to collect necessary data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Propose value engineering solutions that enhance project efficiency while maintaining quality.
  • Maintain and update internal cost databases to reflect market changes and improve estimation accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices while contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC estimating, with a strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and construction methods.
  • Proven track record of preparing successful estimates for large-scale commercial or industrial HVAC projects.
  • Proficiency in interpreting construction blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience with cost estimation software such as Trimble AutoBid, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to present data clearly to clients and internal teams.
  • Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and piping systems.
  • A local and stable work history is required, demonstrating reliability and commitment to the region.
