Job Title: Energy Management Controls Technician

Overview:

We're on the lookout for an Energy Management Controls Technician to enhance our forward-thinking team in Seattle, WA. This vital role is centered around the operation and upkeep of our campus's energy management and control systems, aimed at ensuring operations are both efficient and sustainable. The successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in diagnosing, repairing, and upkeeping control systems, paired with a strong commitment to energy conservation and eco-friendly practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the setup and commissioning of electronic control systems across diverse facilities, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on all completed tasks, verifying adherence to our high standards and technical specifications.

  • Play a key role in the monitoring and analysis of energy data, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and reduce consumption.

  • Oversee construction projects in progress, assessing the quality of workmanship and ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

  • Collaborate closely with the Energy Services team on the development and execution of projects aimed at fostering sustainable and efficient energy solutions.

  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of testing equipment, tools, and supplies, overseeing their correct application and upkeep.

  • Skillfully navigate building energy management systems to fine-tune operations and drive energy-saving measures.

  • Champion the commissioning process for both newly installed and existing systems, optimizing their performance and energy usage.


Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED, supplemented by at least 8 years of experience directly tied to the responsibilities outlined.

  • A robust understanding of calibration standards and tolerances for instrumentation.

  • Proficiency in utilizing testing and metering tools to accurately assess energy savings and verify meter data.

  • Exceptional organizational and coordination abilities, capable of effectively managing a variety of tasks.

  • Strong communication skills, with the capacity to engage clearly and effectively with both clients and team members.


Preferred:

  • Advanced degrees from accredited institutions in a field relevant to energy management or control systems may offset the experience requirement on a year-by-year basis.

  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, particularly in relation to inventory control and equipment maintenance.
