As a Controls Project Manager, you will ensure that projects are executed effectively, adhering to scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining the highest standards of client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of building automation and controls projects, ensuring successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Develop and sustain robust client relationships, understanding their needs and aligning projects to meet these expectations.
  • Lead diverse project teams, fostering an environment of collaboration and innovation.
  • Implement stringent cost control measures and financial management practices to keep projects on budget.
  • Identify potential project risks early, developing strategies to mitigate these and resolve any issues swiftly to minimize impact.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate transparently with all project stakeholders, providing consistent updates and detailed progress reports.
  • Keep meticulous records of all project activities, ensuring documentation is complete and accurately reflects project status.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within the controls or building automation industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. Additional certifications in project management, such as PMP, are advantageous.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HVAC controls, lighting systems, and security system integration.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of managing effective project teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proficiency in negotiating and building client relationships.
  • Financial acumen, with proven experience in budget management and cost optimization.
  • Local to Reno, NV, or willing to relocate, backed by a stable and proven career history in project management.
