Position Summary
We seek a dedicated and experienced BAS Controls Service Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have a solid mechanical or electrical engineering background, focusing on building automation systems (BAS). This role requires a strong understanding of control systems, AutoCAD, Visio, and DDC controls and experience working with various BAS platforms such as Tritium, Niagara, ALC, and Metasys.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management and execution of BAS controls service projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of BAS systems.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to communicate and meet project requirements.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Visio to create and modify project documentation, including control diagrams, floor plans, and system layouts.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and work proactively to resolve them.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, technologies, and best practices, particularly regarding BACnet and DDC controls.
- Support integrating various BAS platforms, including Tritium, Niagara, ALC, Allerton, Johnson Controls, Metasys, and others.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least three (3) years of experience in BAS controls, building automation, or a similar field.
- Stable work history with demonstrated project management or assistant project management experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio.
- Strong knowledge of BACnet, DDC controls, and various BAS platforms (Tritium, Niagara, ALC, Allerton, Johnson Controls, Metasys).
- EIT or PE license is a plus, but it is not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
