Job Summary

We seek an experienced Plumbing/HVAC Project Engineer to join our team in Honolulu, HI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the commercial and construction sectors. This role requires a local candidate with a stable work history and extensive experience overseeing complex mechanical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managed and oversaw plumbing and HVAC projects from inception to completion, ensuring they met design specifications, budget, and timeline.

  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Prepare and present project reports, budgets, and schedules.

  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the construction process.

  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained and updated regularly.

  • Collaborate with the design team to review and approve project plans and specifications.

  • Implement and enforce company policies and safety procedures on-site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related or equivalent field experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in commercial and construction projects.

  • Proven experience working on projects involving military bases, hospitals, schools, and high-rise buildings.

  • Strong understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems and their applications in commercial and military settings.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.

  • Local candidates are strongly preferred.
