Overview:
This position involves leading and developing a team dedicated to servicing and maintaining HVAC control systems, focusing on both supervisory duties and hands-on technical work. The role requires a blend of leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure efficient team operations and high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Motivate and guide a team of technical service professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide individualized training and support.
- Oversee the scheduling, planning, and execution of service tasks to maintain high productivity and quality standards.
- Engage in direct service work, applying expert knowledge of HVAC controls and systems.
- Lead recruitment and retention efforts for service personnel, ensuring a skilled and committed workforce.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in supervising technical teams, preferably within the HVAC or building automation sectors.
- Strong foundation in HVAC DDC Control Theory and practical applications.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in relevant computer hardware and software.
- Ability to work independently and in varied work environments, including office settings and on-site project locations.
- Relevant technical training and certifications; engineering degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial HVAC controls systems.
Preferred:
- Training and experience with specific control systems such as Tridium Niagara N4, Alerton, and Delta.
