Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on diverse refrigeration systems and self-contained temperature units.
Accurately diagnose and resolve problems with refrigeration racks or single-unit systems, including performing leak repairs, component replacements, and overseeing new system installations.
Construct and install necessary supports and piping in compliance with industry standards.
Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment for precise repairs and maintenance activities.
Efficiently manage and document service tickets and project details, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Maintain a well-organized and adequately stocked service vehicle, adhering to maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering exceptional service and effectively communicating technical details.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED.
A minimum of 5 years of field experience in commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems, or 3 years with a Technical School Certification in HVAC-R.
Proven skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems.
Knowledgeable in electrical schematics and basic electrical principles.
Skilled in the safe handling of refrigerants and other hazardous materials.
Must be a local resident of Astoria, OR, or willing to relocate, with a stable and consistent work history.
Preferred:
HVAC-R Technical School Degree.
Experience with specific brands and models of refrigeration systems.
