Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC systems within commercial environments.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including ventilation and air conditioning units, within commercial settings.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Perform system diagnostics, replace or repair parts, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Respond to emergency service requests.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating clearly and professionally with customers to explain necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Participate in on-going training and development in HVAC-related fields.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC service technician, preferably in a commercial setting.
- HVAC certification from a recognized institution.
- EPA certification for refrigerant handling (Type 2 or Universal).
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortable working in various weather conditions.
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
- Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
