Job Title: Building Automation Controls Project Manager

Summary
We seek an experienced Building Automation Controls Project Manager to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of building automation systems. You will work with industry-leading technologies and control systems, managing projects from inception to completion while collaborating with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the planning, designing, and executing projects focused on HVAC, energy management, and other automated building systems.
Collaborate with design engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project milestones and quality standards are met.
Utilize advanced control platforms such as Tridium Niagara, ALC, Alerton, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric to achieve optimal system performance.
Maintain adherence to industry standards and best practices throughout project development, ensuring all systems are safe and meet regulatory requirements.
Prepare accurate project reports, including cost estimates, timelines, and system layouts, using tools like AutoCAD, Visio, and project management software.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in building automation project management, focusing on BACnet and DDC controls.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Visio in creating system layouts and documentation.
Familiarity with control platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Distech, ALC, Johnson Controls Metasys, and Schneider Electric systems.
A local and stable work history is required, demonstrating consistent project leadership and successful completion of initiatives.
An EIT or PE License is a plus but not required.
Preferred Skills
Strong technical expertise in building automation, energy management, and HVAC systems.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize automated systems to enhance building efficiency.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
