Job Summary
We seek an experienced Automation Technician with expertise in Allen-Bradley PLC systems to support our commercial building automation projects in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Allen-Bradley platforms and focus on system optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting to enhance commercial building operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Allen-Bradley PLC systems (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix) and related automation systems.
- Optimize PLC system performance to ensure efficient commercial building automation operations.
- Installed, programmed, and commissioned new PLC systems for various building automation projects.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and engineering teams to ensure the highest quality service and timely project completion.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to building staff on system operations and basic troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate records of system interventions, updates, and modifications, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC systems in commercial settings.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Structured Text, Ladder Diagrams, and Function Block Diagrams. Familiarity with Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk is a plus.
- Strong understanding of integrating PLCs with commercial building automation systems.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues independently.
- Technical certification or an associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Omaha, NE.
- Allen-Bradley Platforms: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix.
- Programming Platforms: Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Modicon, EcoStruxure Control Expert, EcoStruxure Power SCADA Operation.
- SCADA Systems: Ignition, AVEVA System Platform (formerly Wonderware).
