About the Position: Our growing team in Pasadena, CA, is in search of a skilled Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Project Manager to oversee and deliver high-quality HVAC and plumbing projects within commercial settings. The perfect candidate will bring a solid background in project management, with at least 5 years of direct experience in the commercial HVAC and plumbing sectors. Proficiency in using Bluebeam and Excel is crucial, alongside a deep understanding of project management best practices. A Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering degree (BSME) is preferred, with additional consideration given to candidates experienced in using On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Project Management and Bluebeam software.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the comprehensive management of commercial HVAC and plumbing projects, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations in terms of quality, timing, and budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget forecasts, ensuring clear goals and objectives are established.
- Facilitate ongoing communication with project stakeholders, including clients, team members, and subcontractors, to maintain transparency and manage expectations.
- Review and interpret project documentation, leveraging Bluebeam for accurate analysis and adherence to project specs.
- Utilize OST Project Management and Bluebeam software to streamline project execution and maintain high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Directly oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed according to specifications and quality standards.
- Cultivate and maintain productive relationships with all project stakeholders, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
- Enforce compliance with all relevant safety protocols, local building codes, and federal regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively address and resolve project challenges, implementing solutions that align with project objectives and stakeholder interests.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive project reports to senior management, detailing progress, challenges encountered, and milestones achieved.
Qualifications:
- Local to Pasadena, CA, or willing to relocate to the area.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in managing commercial HVAC and plumbing projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bluebeam.
- Experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) Project Management software highly regarded.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is highly valued.
- A track record of successful project management, evidenced by completed projects and satisfied clients.
